Nitara received her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a minor in Sociology from Loyola University in 1999.

She has written 8 feature-length screenplays over the past 10 years; Butterfly in the Storm, Power Over the Mind, Within The Expected, Thirsty Reflection, Running On Empty, Washed In His Blood, Birthing Forth the Unexpected, and Christian Porn.

All are original screenplays, with the exception of Thirsty Reflection, which she was asked to write the script for based on the autobiography of Pastor Shawn Mosley.

She has written countless TV episodes, short films, and stage plays.  Nitara has sold three TV episodes to the executive producer of a TV series that is due to air in the next 2 years.  She has written, directed, and produced the three stage plays Christmas After 9/11, Unsaving Mothers, and Enduring 'Til the End.

Nitara has served as script supervisor, associate producer, and co-teleplay writer for the New Phoenix Filmworks’ production DVD episode, Black Talon:  Broken Mirror.

She also served as script supervisor for a Music video and for the short film Romey and Jules.  She was also the writer/director/executive producer/producer for the Running On Empty trailer that has just won two Telly® Awards.
